Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo known in showbiz as Sarkodie has set things straight regarding which country’s jollof tastes better between Ghana and Nigeria.
According to Wikipedia, Jollof, or jollof rice, is a rice dish from West Africa. The dish is typically made with long-grain rice, tomatoes, onions, spices, vegetables and meat in a single pot, although its ingredients and preparation methods vary across different regions.
Sarkodie who is currently in Nigeria to promote his new studio album ‘No Pressure’ was asked during an interview on Naija FM stated that Ghana Jollof more delicious than Nigeria jollof and he added that Ghana Jollof is the best in the world.
“Worldwide, no Jollof tastes better than Ghana Jollof. Have you been to Ghana? Tried their Jollof? This should even be argued out. We are the best and you know it?” Sarkodie said boldly.
Wikipedia further adds that Ghanaian jollof rice is made of vegetable oil, onion, bell pepper, cloves of pressed garlic, chillies, tomato paste, beef or goat meat or chicken (some times alternated with mixed vegetables), local or refined rice and black pepper.
