ABRONYE DC TO APPEAR BEFORE COURT TODAY

Abronye DC, the New Patriotic Party’s Bono Regional Chairman, will appear in court today, February 16, on coup allegations against former President John Dramani Mahama.

Plot charges are unfounded, according to early police investigations.

Accra Regional Command apprehended Abronye DC on Tuesday after he accepted their invitation over the charges.

Subsequently, he was charged with False News Publication and Offensive Conduct Breaching the Peace

Abronye DC, the NPP’s Bono regional chairman, claims former President John Mahama contacted Al Qaeda members to organize a coup in Ghana.

John Mahama is reportedly in touch with the gang to assist him stage a coup to reclaim the presidency.

If E-levy is passed, the regional chairman made the claim on Hot 93.9FM’s political discussion program “Dwene Ho Bio” presented by Agya Wusu.

Hopeson Adorye, a member of the NPP’s communication team, is upset with the police’s handling of the matter.

Mr. Adorye told media on Tuesday evening at the Accra Regional Police Command that the accused is innocent of the accusations and would prove it in court.

The allegations against him are unjust. Then a radio station summoned him to respond to another person’s statement.

“How is this misconduct? I’m not a lawyer, but I don’t think so. I think the IGP assumed he talked from the studio. We will show the IGP tomorrow. Mahama has the attitude of Oliver, he remarked. Isn’t that so? Don’t they cooperate? “They see the same,” he replied.
