Diana Hamilton, a multi-award-winning gospel singer, has disclosed that she has never paid any radio DJs or presenters to play her songs during her career.
In an interview with Agyemang Prempeh on Power FM, the ‘Adom’ singer stated she has developed a strong connection with the DJs and presenters and does not have to pay them to play her songs.
“I believe in relationships. Maybe my personality may not allow me to call everyone every day but if you are my friend I treat you as a friend, so I call you on an ordinary day, or I will hear it is your birthday and if I have the ability I will send you a present or buy you a cake,” she noted.
“I believe in relationships because if I have to pay you, I cannot pay you,” she added.
Diana made it clear that she does not pay money to presenters in order to sway them to play her music, but rather because of their friendship.
“So if anybody says I gave him or her money to lay my song, it will be nice for the person to come out,” Diana stated.
