O’REILLY SCHOOL STABBING: HIS UNCLE WAS PREPARING TO TAKE HIM TO CANADA – Father Of Deceased

The father of the 18-year-old final-year student at O’Reilly Senior High School in Accra, who was reportedly stabbed on campus on Monday, shared that he had planned to give his son a surprise after graduation.

According to reports, the victim was involved in a dispute with a classmate about who had the wealthier father.

It is claimed that the dispute turned violent and the student in custody reportedly stabbed Edward Borketey Sackey.

The father, when talking about the situation, mentioned that he had agreed to do something special for his son if he did well in his exams.

He also mentioned that a relative in Canada had assured him that he would come to take him there to further his education.

Speaking in a media interview, Enoch Sackey, the father, said, “I have promised to surprise my son after his exams, but as we speak, the surprise can no longer be possible.”

“His uncle, who is also based in Canada, had promised to come and take him to Canada, so he would go and continue his education there. I had promised to surprise him. I told him to excel in his exam and I would surprise him, but that cannot happen again,” he said.

The suspect has only been identified as Godwin from the Visual Arts class.

He has been arrested by the police and is in custody.
