Well-known media personality Afia Pokua, also known as Vim Lady in the media industry, has expressed support for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in their request for an audit of the voters’ register, while also criticizing the nationwide protest as unnecessary.
During her political show, “Egyaso Gyaso” on MyNewsGh.com, Vim Lady expressed her opinion that the NDC’s staged demonstration and criticism of the Electoral Commission were unnecessary.
She said that the opposition party should have sat down with the commission and addressed the issue directly.
“I support the NDC call for an audit for the voters’ register but the demonstration and constant attack on EC was needless. Sit down with EC and solve the issue at IPAC. NDC has made the EC leave important work that they are supposed to do to play defense tactics.” She disclosed.
Vim Lady stated that the NDC party should be aware of allegations that about 15,000 voters have been included on the EC’s transfer list, along with details of their previous voting locations.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is getting ready to march today, September 17th, 2024, as they call for a thorough investigation of the voters register by the electoral commission.
