Moroccan football sensation Achraf Hakimi has shed light on his decision to transfer his salary to his mother’s account, emphasizing the trust and guidance she has provided throughout his career.
The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defender became a trending topic on social media following reports that his wife received none of his earnings during their divorce proceedings, as his salary was managed entirely by his mother.
In an interview with Abtalks monitored by NKONKONSA.com, Hakimi explained that his mother has overseen his finances since the early days of his career to ensure financial discipline.
“My mother has managed my money since the beginning of my career. She makes sure that I don’t spend too much. A mother is the only person who will love you, whether you are rich or poor,” Hakimi shared.
Addressing the recent rape allegations against him, Hakimi revealed how the ordeal has deeply affected his trust in others. He expressed gratitude to the justice system for its thorough handling of the case and reaffirmed his innocence.
“I filed a complaint when I knew it was an attempt at blackmail. The justice system handled the case well, and the truth will come out. This incident taught me not to trust those around me,” he stated.
At 26, Hakimi has already made a mark in football, playing over a hundred matches for PSG since joining the French champions from Inter Milan in 2021. His dedication to his career and family remains central to his public narrative, further solidifying his reputation both on and off the field.
