KOFI MOLE REVEALS SARKODIE IGNORED ‘MAKOMA’ VIDEO SHOOT REQUEST

Ghanaian rapper Kofi Mole has opened up about his unsuccessful attempts to secure Sarkodie’s participation in the video shoot for his song Makoma, which also features Bosom PYung.

In response to a fan’s criticism about the lack of promotion for the track, Kofi Mole disclosed that despite numerous efforts, Sarkodie and his team failed to respond to his texts and calls regarding the video shoot.

The fan, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), had written in Pidgin English: “One day, ago organize kanta boys make we put Kofi Mole for table make we lash am. Promo no enter this song inside koraa. You made a whole Sarkodie turn Bruno Mars.”

Kofi Mole replied, saying, “I was ready to shoot a video but never got any response from Sark and the team after multiple texts and calls. I let that slide.”

This revelation has reignited longstanding concerns in the entertainment industry about Sarkodie’s alleged unresponsiveness to collaborations and professional engagements.

Several artists, including Ivorian music legend Freddy Meiway, Nigerian star Yemi Alade, Ghanaian dancehall artist Samini, and rapper Edem, have previously expressed frustration over Sarkodie’s lack of communication and delayed responses to their calls and requests.

Despite the setback, Makoma remains a fan favorite, with many lamenting the missed opportunity for a music video to complement the song’s impact.
