“I WAS NEVER INFORMED, LET MY NAME REST”- Sarkodie Responds to Kofi Mole’s “Makoma” Video Drama

Ghanaian rap heavyweight Sarkodie has broken his silence on the revived buzz surrounding Kofi Mole’s 2018 hit song Makoma, which features the award-winning rapper. The track, which became a fan favorite, has recently sparked fresh conversations after Kofi Mole revealed why a music video was never shot for the song.

The drama began when a fan took to social media to express disappointment over the absence of a video for Makoma. Kofi Mole responded, explaining that his team’s efforts to reach Sarkodie for the video shoot were unsuccessful, leaving the project in limbo. Adding fuel to the fire, Yaw Sky Face, the video director initially hired for the project, shared his side of the story in a recent interview, reigniting the debate.

Sarkodie, however, has now stepped into the fray to clear the air. In a candid response, the Adonai hitmaker claimed he was never informed about the plans for the video. “I never got the information,” he stated, before making a heartfelt plea to the industry: “Let my name rest.”

The resurfaced controversy has left fans divided, with some calling for clarity and others urging everyone to move on from the five-year-old issue. As the debate continues, one thing is clear: Sarkodie is ready to put the Makoma saga behind him and focus on the future.
