16-YEAR-OLD FOOTBALLER DIES AFTER BEING SODOMIZED BY COACH, MOTHER DEMANDS JUSTICE

Ransford Owusu Ansah, a 16-year-old soccer player from Asamanye in the Ashanti Region, has sadly died after a lengthy struggle for justice after reportedly being sodomized by his football coach, Mr. Ibrahim Anyass, in Amasaman.

The young athlete was quickly taken to Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital following the incident, where he struggled for survival but ultimately lost his battle with his injuries.

Ransford’s mother, heartbroken by her son’s death, has tearfully called for justice and has set a Gh¢ 5,000 reward on the coach, pressing authorities to hold accountable those responsible for the horrific act.

She shared the distressing specifics of her son’s experience, disclosing that the young boy had suffered sexual abuse for the last three years while participating in a soccer academy in Amasaman.

While speaking to Oyerepa FM, the sorrowful mother revealed that she was originally reluctant to register her son in the academy, even declining an offer from the esteemed WAFA Academy because of worries regarding his safety.

Her greatest fears came true when her son endured horrific abuse from someone who was supposed to care for and nurture him.
