While details surrounding the cause of death remain unclear, tributes have begun pouring in from fellow DJs, musicians, and fans across Ghana’s entertainment scene. DJ Awana was known for his work with Team KBKB, a collective of Ghanaian creatives.
The late DJ had built a reputation as a talented mixer and club DJ, regularly performing at major events in Accra and beyond. His signature blends of afrobeats, hip-life, and international hits made him a favorite among partygoers.
Industry figures have described the loss as “devastating” to Ghana’s nightlife scene, with many recalling his professionalism and dedication to his craft. Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in coming days.
