Gifty Nana Afriyie, the wife of popular Kumawood actor Otelee, has made headlines after boldly declaring her intention to retaliate should her husband cheat on her again.
In an emotionally charged interview with entertainment blogger Zionfelix, clips of which were shared on social media, Gifty revealed her frustration with repeated infidelity and stressed the need for women to stop enduring such betrayals in silence.
“I have noticed that we have been forgiving men for long, and so if we don’t reciprocate the same thing for them to feel the pain, there is no way they will stop,” she said.
The mother and wife further disclosed that she has caught her husband cheating on multiple occasions and has resolved to do the same if it happens again.
“It’s not an easy thing to be cheated on. I’ve witnessed him cheating several times, and I’ve made up my mind that the next time he does it, I will also cheat.”
Despite her hurt, Gifty clarified that she is not entirely against the idea of her husband taking a second wife but only under certain conditions.
“I can allow him to marry a second wife, however, he must gift me a two-story building, send me abroad, buy me cars, and ensure my children are well cared for. If he fulfills all these, he can marry as many women as he likes,” she added.
On the topic of divorce, she admitted it often crosses her mind, and she’s even discussed it with her husband.
“I told him just yesterday that I wanted a divorce. But he always finds a way to calm me down. Sometimes, it’s my children and patience that stop me from walking away. Anytime I say I’m traveling, the kids get suspicious and start to cry,” she explained.
