Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) member, Hopeson Adorye, criticised the party’s 2024 Presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for making personal assaults on his wife, gospel singer Empress Gifty Adorye.

Adorye, during a live video, disclosed that a TikTok page aligned with NPP and Bawumia, called ‘Bawumia for 2028’, has been orchestrating malicious attacks on his gospel-singer wife.

An irritated Adorye expressed that he had reached out to individuals in Dr. Bawumia’s camp multiple times in recent weeks to rein in those rogue elements, but with no success, leading him to ponder that they might be fully aware of the situation while approving of the assaults.

Adorye stated that his video serves as a final warning regarding the issue, and if no steps are taken, he will disclose details that could damage the reputations of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, his spouse, Samira Bawumia, and Sammi Awuku, the Member of Parliament for Akuapim North and a close ally of Dr. Bawumia.

“If you know the secrets I’m about to expose about Samira Bawumia, like, you would run from this country; take it from me!” Adorye threatened. “I fear no one, Dr Bawumia, Samira Bawumia, and Sammi Awuku, get ready for me. We all have the same blood running through our veins.”

Adorye then threw a question to Dr Bawumia. “If I said Samira is sleeping with ‘party boys’, would you be happy?” He added, “If you would hire people to disgrace me and my wife, I would not sit back. If you hit me, I will hit you back.”
