THE MEDIA IS BIAS & SELECTIVE WITH THE ARTISTES THEY PROMOTE – Singer, Petrah Alleges

Singer, Petrah has sparked a conversation on social media and among stakeholders in the music industry after making quite a controversial statement about the music industry.

Petrah claimed in a recent interview that the media is bias and propagating the works of a selected musicians in the country.

She told media personality and ace broadcaster, Okyeame Quophi on Angel FM during a one-on-one interview that some industry stalwarts including the media decide on which artist to push and make them prominent and popular meanwhile, there are a lot of musicians who are also good but they are being relegated to the background.

According to her, the claim is from her perspective base on what she sees. Petrah urged the media and industry stakeholders to do things right and give everybody equal platforms or opportunities to blossom in the music careers.

She cited artists such as Medikal, Mr. Drew and Black Sherif as the few examples to buttress her claim.

When Okyeame Quophi disagreed with her assertion, Petrah remained insistent on her stance about the current state of the music industry.
