BLACK SHERIF INJURED BY OVEREXCITED FAN DURING UNIVERSITY OF GHANA PERFORMANCE

Ghanaian music sensation Black Sherif sustained a minor injury during a live performance at the Diaspora Dome, University of Ghana, on Friday, June 14, 2025.

The incident unfolded as Black Sherif was captivating a full house with one of his hit songs when an overenthusiastic fan, later identified as Agbovi, breached security and rushed onto the stage. Despite efforts by security personnel to restrain him, Black Sherif intervened and allowed the fan to dance briefly on stage.

However, the situation escalated when Agbovi grabbed onto Black Sherif, causing the rapper to lose his balance and nearly fall into the crowd. Security quickly intervened and escorted the fan off the stage.

Black Sherif, visibly shaken, later informed the audience that he had been struck in the mouth, resulting in a cut on his lip. “Hey, Agbovi cut my lip,” the artiste told the crowd, before promptly resuming his performance to the delight of fans.

The show continued without further incident, with award-winning rapper Sarkodie joining Black Sherif on stage for a dynamic joint performance.

This episode underscores the challenges of maintaining security during high-energy live events, especially when fans’ enthusiasm spills beyond safe boundaries.
