SAMPLES OF 8 HELICOPTER CRASH VICTIMS REMAINS FLOWN TO SOUTH AFRICA FOR FORENSIC ANALYSIS
Samples of the remains of all passengers aboard the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Z9 helicopter that tragically crashed en route to Obuasi are set to be transported to South Africa for forensic analysis.
The move comes as part of ongoing efforts to properly identify the victims and determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
Authorities say the forensic examination will provide critical clarity, especially as the remains recovered were severely damaged due to the impact of the crash.
The GAF Z9 helicopter was carrying several high-ranking officials, including two cabinet ministers, when it went down in a remote area on Wednesday.
The nation remains in mourning, with tributes pouring in for the fallen public servants who were on official duty.
