A FORMER GFA SECRETARY WROTE TO THE GERMAN EMBASSY TO DENY ME VISA AND THEY NEVER PAID ME FOR THE SONGS I WROTE FOR BLACK STARS – Grace Ashley

One of Ghana’s favourite musicians, Grace Ashley revealed in a recent interview that despite rumours, she has not been paid by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for writing a song for the Ghana Black Stars.

She stated that her strong affection and enthusiasm for the team inspired her to compose a song in order to uplift the Ghana Black Stars team’s morale.

Nevertheless, following the performance of the song to the ex GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, he promised to revert back to her and praised her for the song.

The song went viral in 2014. Even though she gained recognition from the song, Grace Ashley mentioned that she almost faced a ban on obtaining her Visa to go to Germany with the team.

Grace Ashley informed Nana Ama Mcbrown during the Onua Showtime Show that a past GFA secretary had sent a letter to the German Embassy in an attempt to prevent her from obtaining a Visa.

However, she made it work and was still able to go on trips.
