ACTOR LILWIN GRANTED GH¢50k BAIL AFTER COURT HEARING

The Asokore Mampong District Court has given bail of GHc50,000 with two sureties to the well-known Kumawood actor Lil Win.

His next court appearance is set for June 27, 2024.

Lil Win was taken into custody on Monday, June 3, by the Manhyia Divisional Police Command for his involvement in a crash that caused the 3-year-old’s death.

The tragic event happened in Amakom, Kumasi on May 25, shortly before the debut of his film ‘A Country Called Ghana’ at the KNUST auditorium.

The actor was arrested right after being released from Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital on Monday morning.

Three-year-old Richard Nana Yaw Ampomah died from his injuries at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital on Saturday, May 25, after the accident in Amakom, Kumasi.

Nana Yaw was reportedly seated in the passenger seat of his father’s car when it crashed into Lil Win’s Mercedes-Benz. Witnesses said that the actor was speeding at the time of the crash.

After the accident, Lil Win was undergoing treatment at the Komfo Anokye hospital until he was arrested on Monday morning. His manager and personal guard are still in the hospital and undergoing treatment.
