CALLS FOR URGENT INFRASTRUCTURE AS AGGREY MEMORIAL STUDENTS SLEEP IN HALLWAYS AT THE SCHOOL

Students at Aggrey Memorial A.M.E. Zion School have expressed worries regarding the overcrowding in dormitories and have requested immediate infrastructural assistance.

Reemphasizing the plea, the school’s Girls’ Prefect, Maame Doku Blay, expressed concern about the extreme overcrowding in the boarding facilities, mentioning that some students had taken to sleeping in hallways, creating security risks.

According to a report by myjoyonline.com. she stated that the overcrowding made the students more susceptible to contagious illnesses.

She consequently encouraged officials to prioritize building more dormitory blocks and providing additional boreholes and water storage tanks to tackle recurring water shortages.
