AGRADAA’S HUSBAND ALLEGEDLY NEGLECTS COURT SUMMONS FROM EMPRESS GIFTY’S LAWYERS; LEAVES LEGAL DOCUMENT ON THE FLOOR
Evangelist Patricia Asiedu, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, fresh reports suggest that her husband allegedly took delivery of a court summons and left it unattended on the floor.
The court document in question pertains to the recent GH₵20 million defamation lawsuit filed by gospel singer Empress Gifty, who is suing Agradaa over a series of vulgar and damaging statements allegedly made in a live broadcast.
According to sources familiar with the delivery process, the legal document was served at Agradaa’s residence and was received by her husband. However, rather than acknowledging or processing the summons appropriately, he is said to have dropped the document on the floor and walked away.
This development raises questions about whether Agradaa and her legal team intend to respond formally to the suit, especially following Agradaa’s earlier public dismissal of the case, where she said, “Any idiot can go to court.”
Legal analysts warn that ignoring or mishandling a court summons could have serious consequences, including default judgment against the defendant. The court is expected to reconvene in the coming weeks to assess the progress of the case.
Empress Gifty is demanding GH₵20 million in damages for defamation, an apology, and a court injunction to prevent further defamatory comments from Agradaa.
