Charles Adu Boahen, Minister of State in charge of the Finance Ministry, has had his contract terminated by President of the Republic Nana Akuffo-Addo.
Following accusations made against Mr. Charles Adu Boahen in Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ investigative piece “Galamsey Economy,” the president took this action.
Ameyaw Anas On his social media pages, Anas shared a clip from his exposé, which will air today at 5 o’clock. He claimed that Charles Adu Boahen, the minister of finance, claimed that vice president Mahamudu Bawumia need US$2000,000 as an appearance fee to encourage foreign investment in the nation.
“You mean, like appearance fees and stuff? I mean he, himself (the vice president), if you give him some (USD) 200,000 or something as a token, as thank you, appreciation, that’s fine. He’s not really, he’s not really (like) that. All he needs is to worry about his campaign money in 2022”, he revealed.
