Ghanaian artiste, Osei Kwaku Vincent, better known as Strongman Burner disclosed the substantial financial investment that his colleague, Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr., contributed towards their recent wedding.
He revealed that Akwaboah Jnr. spent more than GH¢170,000 to book the extravagant Kempinski Hotel for the event, not including the catering expenses.
Strongman expressed frustration when he saw that certain individuals on social media were criticizing Akwaboah Jnr.’s outfit and other parts of his wedding.
In an interview monitored by GhanaWeb with Pure FM, Strongman criticized the habit of certain individuals to closely examine celebrities’ weddings once they are shared with the public.
“It’s disheartening when you’ve put money into a wedding and then people on social media criticize your outfit. If it were up to me, I’d just sign the legal documents in court and give the money to my wife. For example, at Akwaboah Jnr.’s wedding—he spent a lot of money.
“I was really upset when I saw some negative comments about his wedding on social media. Just for Kempinski, he paid over GH¢170,000 without including food. The negative feedback really bothered me as his close friend,” the rapper commented.
It will be recalled that Akwaboah Jnr. married his partner, Theresa, in a vibrant ceremony on Friday, May 3, 2024, at a private venue.
