Canadian-born Ghanaian actress Haillie Sumney has revealed that any man interested in dating her must possess certain key qualities: good character, intelligence, and potential. In a recent interview on Keeping It 100 on Nkonkonsa TV, the actress shared her thoughts on relationships, emphasizing that while money isn’t everything, a man must still match her energy.
“I’m not all about the money, but the guy must have a good character, potential, and intelligence,” Haillie stated. She also admitted that fine dining is important to her and that she enjoys going to places she can afford. However, she feels that her partner should meet her halfway in terms of lifestyle.
Responding to a question from the host about whether she would date a regular sales guy without a side hustle, Haillie said, “It’s not about money, money. But I feel like the guy should match my energy.” She explained that if a man doesn’t have financial stability yet, his potential and character would be the deciding factors.
“At a point where the finances are not coming through, I would consider his potential as long as he has a good character,” she emphasized. “He needs to match my energy financially, physically, and intellectually.”
Haillie also mentioned that she would support a man if she sees he is working toward a brighter future. “For instance, let’s say he’s been in school for a long time, and I know he’ll graduate in a few years. I can be there for him as long as he’s a good person and I know he’s not with me just for my money.”
