On Friday afternoon, a Forex bureau in Abeka Lapaz, Accra was targeted by armed robbers.
The two individuals allegedly went into the Forex Bureau, which is situated close to the Las Palmas region, and requested that the employees give them all the cash they had.
During the robbery, a few onlookers outside successfully secured the entrance, leaving the robbers and employees trapped inside.
When the police got there, they discovered the office locked, with both the criminals and employees thought to be present.
As per a witness interviewed by Channel One News, the thieves disappeared without a trace once the police gained entry to the building, which is currently heavily guarded.
An unnamed staff member at Channel One News has confirmed that the bureau will be issuing an official statement with more information about the incident.
