Award-winning Ghanaian Gospel singer, Celestine Donkor asked Ghanaians to give her advice so she may choose whether to accept a $7000 wagering job.
Celestine Donkor must make a decision as a devout Christian who is aware of the Bible’s position on wagering and gambling.
In a recent post by her on social media, Celestine Donkor sought advice on whether or not to refuse the money.
“The message is from “A FOREIGN BETTING COMPANY”, they Like my numbers and want me to advertise for them on my pages for the cool amount. Question is, Should I accept?” she quizzed.
In a letter, Celestine Donkor expressed her concern about how the Christian community would respond if she accepted the offer.
“how would the Christian community react if a gospel musician is chosen as an ambassador for a betting company or an alcoholic beverage?”
“This is not because we don’t have the numbers. In this current harsh economy, this money would help a lot to push my ministry,” she wrote.
Fans of Celestine Donkor have urged her to proceed with the arrangement because it does not go against God’s plan.
