ATTENDING NIGERIAN PARTIES PAID MORE THAN ACTING IN GHANA – Yvonne Nelson’s Candid Confession

Actress Yvonne Nelson discusses the unanticipated financial prospects she found while living in Nigeria, which outperformed her performing endeavours in her native Ghana.

She makes an intriguing admission regarding the lucrative aspect of attending Nigerian birthday parties at the height of her success in her frank new book, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.”

Nelson discusses how these appearances frequently generated greater cash rewards than her acting jobs in Ghana.

“There were people who held parties and were prepared to pay you to attend just to enhance their status or show their class,”she candidly discloses.

Celebrities’ attendance at these gatherings acted as a social barometer of the host’s standing.

In fact, Nelson acknowledges that occasionally, attending birthday parties or other celebrations earned her more than appearing in a Ghanaian motion picture.

The distinct cultural dynamics and financial prospects that came with her career in Nigeria are highlighted by her disclosure.

Nelson, however, experienced a cultural shock as a result of her travels to Nigeria. It was difficult for her to juggle her late-night partying with her movie shooting.

“The pressure from my circle of friends made life difficult, as some of them wanted to hang out with me at times when I was too tired to party,” Nelson reveals.

She had to manage her social life and professional obligations in a sensitive way.

Her endurance was put to the test when she had to work late into the night and her pals wanted to go out to clubs.

Nelson had to wash up and resume shooting the next morning when her pals were still in bed, adding another challenge to her already demanding schedule.

The comments made by Yvonne Nelson shed light on the diverse nature of her acting profession and offer a fascinating peek into the various financial opportunities and cultural experiences she faced while living in Nigeria.
