BLACK STARS PLAYERS ARE SELECTIVE, THEY ONLY PLAY WELL FOR THE WORLD CUP, NOT THE AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS — Kwabena Yeboah Asserts

Kwabena Yeboah criticized the attitude of Black Stars players toward the Africa Cup of Nations after they successfully qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

He feels that the players are more committed to the World Cup than to the Africa Cup of Nations, even though both are important.

During the World Cup qualifiers, the Black Stars showed a lot of effort and determination. However, during the AFCON 2025 qualifiers, their performance was poor, lacking enthusiasm.

Kwabena Yeboah pointed out that players would not skip World Cup qualifiers because they understand the significance of representing their country in such a major event.

Speaking on Metro TV, he said that the players see the World Cup as a prestigious competition, treating it with more seriousness and respect.
