News reaching Nkonkonsa.com indicates that embattled Ghanaian actress and socialite, Rosemond Brown popularly called Akuapem Poloo has been granted bail amid her jail sentence.
Akuapem Poloo was sentenced to 90 days imprisonment by an Accra Circuit court on April 16, for sharing her nud*s with her son on social media, an act that was frowned upon by Ghanaians.
However, following the outcry by concerned Ghanaians including celebrities across the country and foreign, such as American rapper, Cardi B, and Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, the Accra High court has granted Akuapem Poloo bail of GHS 80,000 pending her appeal.
Speaking to Hitz FM on Wednesday, April 21, one of the lawyers of Akuapem Poloo, revealed that the judge pointed to the fact that it is very difficult for someone who has already been convicted to be granted bail pending appeal but in exceptional circumstances, she set out four conditions.
According to the lawyer, Akuapem Poloo is required to fulfil three sureties and should also deposit her passport so that whenever she is supposed to travel out of the country, the court registrar will allow her to do so.
