Fifa released the first song ahead of the 2022 World Cup scheduled for November.
The song titled Hayya Hayya which means Better Together featured Nigerian artiste Davido, American singer Trinidad Cardona and Qatari sensation Aisha.
In a statement, FIFA Chief Commercial Officer Kay Madati stated that “by bringing together voices from the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East, this song symbolizes how music – and football – can unite the world.”
He added that drawing on R&B and reggae influences, the song epitomizes the excitement of a football festival that will light up the world later this year.
Davido had the opportunity to perform the song and his Fans in Nigeria couldn’t hide their joy. He also got the opportunity to meet with American actor Idris Elba.
