Ayisha Modi has issued an impassioned appeal to the music community to unite and aid veteran artist Okomfo Kwadee while he is alive and requires assistance.
Okomfo Kwadee, previously one of Ghana’s most renowned hip-life artists, is now facing significant health and financial difficulties.
Recent clips shared on social media depict the ailing musician appearing frail, bewildered, and despondent as he performs his classic tunes in his community.
His significant weight loss and confused look have sparked worries among fans and supporters regarding his health.
In response to the tragic condition of the iconic artist, Ayisha Modi urged Ghanaian musicians and industry figures to unite and assist him before it becomes too late.
Don’t wait for Kwadee to die before contributing for his funeral. Now is the time to support him so he can stand again as a musician and continue doing what he loves,” she urged.
Ayisha Modi asserts that through joint effort, the industry can rejuvenate Kwadee’s well-being and assist him in regaining his position in the music world.
She stressed that it’s crucial to honor and support talents while they are still living instead of honoring them with tributes after they have passed away.
Her request has ignited discussions on social media, with many concurring that the entertainment sector needs to do more to assist struggling artists, particularly those who previously made a notable impact.
