The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) of Ghana has officially announced the commencement of the issuance of 2025 DV plates, starting today, January 30, 2025. The release follows weeks of delay caused by the absence of a Chief Executive to authorize the process.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Julius Neequaye Kotey confirmed the news, assuring the public that detailed information about the plates, including enhanced security features, will be provided for public education. He also encouraged Ghanaians to purchase the plates exclusively from authorized DVLA outlets to ensure authenticity.
In a post announcing the release, Kotey stated:“2025 DV PLATE ISSUANCE BEGINS TODAY, 30TH JANUARY, 2025. Detailed information with added security features will be made available for public education.”
