The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama is urging Ghanaians to vote for a change in order to restore the economy to a stable position.
He believes that the nation must be restarted in order to achieve growth and prosperity, allowing Ghanaians to finally breathe a sigh of relief.
He also mentioned that his administration will address the corruption and state capture that have surfaced recently.
Speaking at the manifesto launch at Winneba on Saturday, August 24, 2024, Mahama said, “Our dear nation is bleeding. Ghana’s soul is calling for change. Mother Ghana is crying for its true and patriotic citizens to rise up to restore our beloved nation. Ghanaians can take no more of the hardship, the impunity, the state capture, the hypocrisy, the lies, and the bad governance that has been inflicted on them over the two terms of this outgoing administration.
“We cannot fail our mother Ghana; therefore, I urge you all to vote for change on December 7, 2024,” he added.
Other commitments made by the NDC presidential candidate include providing free menstrual pads to school-aged girls, investigating the government’s Gold-for-Oil initiative, and removing the cap on the national insurance levy, among other pledges.
