Ohemaa Mercy, a musician from Ghana, has warned leaders in the country not to deem homosexual activities as permissible, despite pressure from certain activists.
She believes that God strongly disapproves of homosexuality, so embracing it would bring disaster to the nation in every aspect of life.
She revealed that some individuals have confided in her about their difficulties with homosexuality and she consistently recommends that they refrain from it through seeking help from a higher power.
During an interview with 3FM as reported by GhanaWeb, Ohemaa Mercy mentioned that the practice is considered forbidden and is being driven by demonic forces to ruin individuals’ lives.
“For me, where I am standing in the spiritual side, you can’t control it. Anytime I meet young ladies and gentlemen that share their problems with me, especially with this, they open up to you. I have a lot of calls. And you could see that the person is not of him or herself. I will never allow that.
“It [homosexuality] is something that God hates. And if you are listening to me and you are going through that, you need the hand of God. You are not of yourself. I will never stand on the fact that they need us to get them close, to help them get out. But the fact that they want us to put it on the bill to accept it will not help this nation. It will actually take off the face of God from Ghana and incur God’s wrath,” she warned.
