Kwame Owusu Danso, popularly known as KOD and the Vice Presidential Candidate for the Movement for Change, has shared a heartfelt story about his unique bond with dancehall superstar Shatta Wale. In an exclusive interview with Nkonkonsa.com, KOD recounted how Shatta Wale has consistently demonstrated love and respect for him over the years, despite their limited interactions.
Reflecting on their friendship, KOD recalled a memorable encounter at Shatta Wale’s father’s law firm in Osu, where the musician introduced him to his father. “The last time we met, Shatta Wale stepped out of his V8, greeted me warmly, and introduced me to his father. It was such a genuine gesture,” KOD recounted.
Their friendship dates back to their early days hustling at Nungua Beach, where they both performed. KOD reminisced about how Shatta Wale, even then, offered him valuable advice and support in his journey as an artist. “Shatta has always been wise and respectful, and for someone as big as him to still show me love and acknowledge me is something I deeply appreciate,” KOD said.
He added that their mutual respect has strengthened their bond, and he feels honored by Shatta Wale’s acknowledgement of their friendship, despite his significant success in the music industry.
