Ghanaian actor Kwaku Manu has shared his dissatisfaction with the behaviour of gospel musician Yaw Sarpong’s children in relation to the controversies surrounding his illness.
He believed that during this difficult time, Sarpong’s children should have expressed love and taken care of him when he became ill, to demonstrate gratitude.
He observed that despite the veteran gospel artiste not doing much for their upbringing or providing expected properties, the children should have supported the musician.
During an Instagram live session, Manu expressed disappointment in Yaw Sarpong’s children for silently watching their father being publicly shamed without speaking up in his defense.
“Yaw Sarpong’s children have made a big mistake; it means you don’t know the impact of your father in this country. Maybe you expected your father to build mansions for you before giving him the needed respect.
“You are allowing your father to be embarrassed in his sickness. As mature people, you should know how to conduct yourselves in these troubling times. I am very disappointed in the children,” he said in Twi.
Regarding Yaw Sarpong’s wife, the actor said, “For the wife, I will deal with her later. You don’t make such remarks on radio.”
This comes after Yaw Sarpong’s wife, Adwoa Penamang, revealed to Auntie Naa how she has been mistreated and ignored by the family since her husband got sick.
She also voiced her unhappiness about her husband’s relatives allowing Maame Tiwaa to take care of Yaw Sarpong, while neglecting her [Adwoa].
Some people in the public have criticized the interview, believing it was unnecessary and should not have taken place.
