Although renowned gospel musician Piesie Esther does not have a strong political inclination, she has stated that she will accept any offer to perform from a party.
Due to their tendencies for a certain political party, some gospel musicians have been associated with one party or another.
Due to songs they wrote for political parties, singers like Diana Asamoah, Daddy Lumba, Lucky Mensah, Sarkodie, and many others have been associated with a political party.
During an interview with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast’s Kastle FM, Piesie Esther revealed that despite not being interested in politics, she will gladly accept any offer from political parties to sing at rallies.
Perfect as for me when it comes to politics I don’t engage in partisan politics,” she responded.
She added “Piesie Esther doesn’t do politics because what I know is that I’m singing about the gospel of God.
“So wherever I would be invited to go and perform and I feel that it’s an avenue to spread the gospel that’s where I go,” she justified.
“When it comes to politics I will say that not at all that’s not what I stand for as Piesie Esther,” she concluded on the Kastle Drive Show.
