Retired Ghanaian goalkeeper and former Black Stars’ goalkeeper, Richard Kingston, has stated that he is ensure that his team will win the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The 2010 Black Stars are the third African team to advance to the quarterfinals of a tournament.
The 44-year-old former Ghanaian goalkeeper is now focused on creating coaching history in Qatar.
“We all have different feelings and different dimensions, you know, but me personally I have belief in the team,” Kingston, who was Ghana’s number one at the 2006 and 2010 World Cups, said.
“I cannot assure you that we are going to win the trophy, but I am hoping that we will go more than the quarterfinals, so that I Richard Kingston, as the goalkeepers’ trainer, can set a new record,” he added.
Beginning on November 20 and lasting through December 18, the 2022 World Cup will take place. Together with Ghana, South Korea, Portugal, and Uruguay make up Group H.
The 26 players who will make up the competition’s final roster will be revealed by Otto Addo on November 14.
Before departing for Doha, Qatar, the Black Stars of Ghana will play a friendly match against Switzerland.
