‘I DON’T LIKE FEBRUARY, IT REMINDS ME OF EBONY’ – OgeeTheMC Opens Up

Ghanaian hypeman shares how February triggers painful memories of late singer Ebony Reigns.

Ghanaian hypeman and media personality OgeeTheMC has revealed the emotional challenges he continues to face following the tragic death of singer Ebony Reigns.

In an interview on 3Music TV, Ogee shared that February is a particularly difficult month for him, as it marks both Ebony’s birthday and the anniversary of her passing.

“People who actually know me know that I don’t really like February like that. Anytime there’s February, I’m kind of moody. Every February reminds me of her, and I didn’t like it,” he said.
“Because that’s her death month and her birth month as well… 8th and 16th.”

Reflecting on his dedication to Ebony’s career, Ogee admitted that he sacrificed his own radio and TV work to support the Maame Hwe hitmaker fully.

“I was ready to leave the country and just give everything up because, mind you, I was doing my radio and TV, but I stopped everything for her. And now she’s gone. I’m like, ‘What’s going to happen?’”

Following Ebony’s passing in 2018, Ogee said he felt lost and temporarily left Ghana to find healing in Canada.
