Popular veteran comic actor and host of “Real News”, Akwasi Boadi known well as Akrobeto has disclosed that he has never paid rent ever since he relocated from Kumasi to Acra forty-three (43) years ago.
According to the actor, he has been able to live in Accra rent-free because of his humility and his honesty to the people around him.
Narrating how he has been living rent-free in Accra, Akrobeto disclosed that e was relocated from his village in 1979 by the popular engineer, Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo, and stayed in his house for a long time without paying for rent.
The veteran actor further disclosed that even when he moved out of Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo’s house, his new landlord also refused to take rent from him.
“I didn’t have anything of my own. My family was very poor. When I completed Form 4 in the year 1979, Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo sent someone to come for me from my village to stay with him in Accra.”
“And I stayed with him for a very long time without paying a dime because of my humility and honesty. Even in times when I moved out, anytime, I pay rent, strangely, the landlords either return my money or refuse to accept it,” Akrobeto explained in an exclusive interview with Precise FM.
Akrobeto described Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo as an inspiration and a source of wisdom to him. He added that the man of God taught him the relevance of staying humble and trustworthy.
