A worker at China City, a shopping center in Santasi, Kumasi, is accused of fatally stabbing a staff member.
Although the precise cause is still unknown, Myjoyonline reports that the incident reportedly followed an altercation between the two.
It happened on the mall’s grounds on Saturday morning.
Witnesses said that following the stabbing, facilities employees raised an alarm.
The man was discovered struggling for his life in a pool of blood when other people came on the scene. After being taken to the hospital in a hurry, he was declared dead.
Some young people from the Santasi region arrived at the location shortly after the incident and tried to lynch the culprit. They reportedly protested by firing warning shots.
The suspect has since been arrested by the police.
