I WANTED MEDIKAL ON “ASIBOLANGA” BUT HE WAS FEELING POMPOUS – Mzbel

Legendary Ghanaian singer-songwriter Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, better known by her stage as Mzbel, has said that although she wanted to include rapper Medikal on her song “Asibolanga,” he didn’t respond favorably.

Mzbel has finally dropped “Asibolanga,” the highly awaited Christmas banger.

After the singer published an extract of the song two weeks ago, her fans and supporters have been urging her to release the complete song.

The “Sixteen Years” hitmaker said this in an exclusive interview with Sammy Kay on the process of writing her song “Asibolanga.” Rapper Medikal was supposed to be in the song, but it fell through.

Mzbel explained how she contacted the rapper, but since she didn’t hear back from him favorably, she dropped the idea.

“I had initially wanted to put Medikal on the Asibolanga song, but unfortunately, he was feeling pompous. I tried to reach out to him through his wife (Fella Makafui) and the response was not positive. They kept tossing me around,” she told Sammy Kay.

“He had already listened to the song. You know sometimes people don’t feel the music and maybe because of our relationship, he was afraid to tell me,” she added.
