A Plus has said that the encouragements he received from Nana Akufo Addo, who was then the head of the opposition New Patriotic Party, were the driving force behind all the controversial political songs he released that made him famous years ago (NPP).
The musician who is now actively involved in politics and activism gained notoriety by writing political songs and centering his themes on concerns that are now resonating inside the political establishment.
He admitted to Adom TV’s Afia Amankwa Tamakloe that Nana Akufo Addo fell in love with his craft and inspired others to follow in his footsteps. As a result of the animosity he incited toward himself from the politicians he denigrated, he in some ways became the “most wanted” artist of his generation.
A Plus said that Akufo-Addo was an honest man back while recounting how he sought an audience with him even when he had bashed him in a song.
