KIMATHI RAWLINGS WEDS IN ELEGANT CEREMONY, SURROUNDED BY FAMILY AND FRIENDS

Kimathi Rawlings, the only son of Ghana’s late former President Jerry John Rawlings and former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, has married in a stylish and joyful ceremony attended by family, close friends, and notable dignitaries.

Social media was abuzz over the weekend as clips emerged from the celebration, showing Kimathi resplendent in a white agbada alongside his bride. The newlyweds were seen exchanging warm greetings with guests following their church service, before heading to a vibrant reception where they danced to KiDi’s “Odo,” with Kimathi impressing attendees with his dance moves.

About Kimathi Rawlings

Born in the 1980s in Accra, Kimathi is the youngest of four siblings: Zanetor Agyeman Rawlings (current MP), Yaa Asantewaa Rawlings, and Amina Rawlings. His name pays tribute to Dedan Kimathi, the legendary Kenyan freedom fighter, reflecting the Rawlings family’s Pan-African ideals.

Kimathi began his education at Morning Star School and North Ridge Lyceum in Accra, before completing high school at Millfield School in the UK. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from Aston University, Birmingham. Further honing his skills, Kimathi obtained professional certifications in Oil & Gas Negotiation and Production from MDT International.

With over a decade’s experience, Kimathi serves as a Commercial and Portfolio Advisor at Eni, a leading oil and gas multinational headquartered in Italy. His expertise spans analytical skills, upstream marketing, risk management, and corporate finance.

The celebration of Kimathi’s union marks a significant moment for the Rawlings family, drawing well-wishes from across Ghana and beyond as the next generation continues to build on a legacy of public service and achievement.
