LAWYERS NOTITIED OF ABUSUA PANYIN TUPAC’S REMOVAL AS HEAD OF FAMILY AND DIRECTED TO DISCONTINUE COURT CASE
Ghana’s highlife legend Daddy Lumba’s family has notified court that Abusua Panyin Kofi Owusu popilarly known as Abusua Panyin Tupac is no longer recognised as the leader of their famiily.
In a letter dated today, March 25, 2026, the newly appointed acting Head of the Ekuona Royal Family, Abusuapanyin Kwabena Brefo, has formally notified law firm Baba Jammal & Associates of the leadership shake-up and ordered them to stop an ongoing court case by tomorrow, March 26, 2026.
This comes after an High Court in Accra restrained organisers from proceeding with a planned “Celebration of Life” event in honour of highlife legend Daddy Lumba, scheduled for March 28 and 29, 2026 at Independence Square.
The court upheld an interlocutory injunction filed by the Ekuona Royal Family of Parkoso and Nsuta, effectively halting all preparations and promotional activities related to the event.
Baba Jammal & Associates are yet to respond to the said letter.
