“LET MY BROTHER REST!” – Daddy Lumba’s Sister Fires Back at Online Trolls

Faustina Fosu condemns social media attacks on late musician's legacy; defends his personal choices and pleads for respectful mourning.

Faustina Fosu, younger sister of the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, has issued a stern warning to social media users engaging in online trolling and criticism following her brother’s passing.

The forceful response comes after some netizens targeted the late musician and his family with unwarranted insults, particularly criticizing his personal decision to settle down with two women during his lifetime.

In a passionate defense of her brother’s legacy, Fosu cautioned the public against tarnishing the renowned artist’s hard-earned reputation and emphasized that the family fully supported his life choices.

“I have seen what is going on on social media, and I am not happy with that. My brother lived a fruitful life before he passed on. If for anything, he was well recognized by a lot of people,” Fosu stated.

Addressing the specific insults directly, she questioned: “How can someone sit on the internet and call Daddy Lumba a dog? So, he was a dog when he gave you people hit songs?”

The grieving sister appealed for respectful mourning, noting that the late musician left behind children, wives, brothers, and sisters who are deeply affected by the ongoing criticism. She urged Ghanaians to allow her brother “peaceful sleep” and consider how they would feel if similar comments were directed at their own family members.

The statement highlights the challenges public figures’ families face in the digital age, where mourning periods become subject to public scrutiny and commentary on social media platforms.
