“THEY RAN AWAY WITH MY WOMB”: Mama Esther Reveals 10-Year Battle for Child
Gospel singer shares painful journey of loss, spiritual warfare, and societal accusations; credits divine grace for eventual breakthrough after decade-long wait.
Celebrated Ghanaian gospel musician Mama Esther has opened up about a deeply personal decade-long struggle to conceive, revealing a profound spiritual experience and painful societal accusations that followed the loss of her first child.
In an emotional Instagram interview shared on September 9, the singer recounted a powerful dream that preceded her fertility challenges, where she believes her womb was spiritually taken from her.
“I had a dream after I lost one of my children. In the dream, I saw that I was in labour and someone was asking me to push my baby out. After I had given birth, I saw the person running away with everything,” Mama Esther shared.
She continued: “I then asked her to give me my baby, and she laughed at me, saying that I had taken your womb away. And that I won’t give birth again.”
The gospel artist revealed that the dream manifested in her reality, leading to a painful 10-year period during which she couldn’t conceive. This prolonged struggle sparked hurtful rumors within her community, with some accusing her of having “tampered with her womb” to enable having multiple children a plan they claimed had backfired.
“Some people accused me that after giving birth to two in a span of two years, I went to tamper with my womb. Some even said that I went to change my womb so I can give birth to a lot of children, and that didn’t go in my favour,” she recounted.
Through the painful journey of loss, spiritual warfare, and social stigma, Mama Esther maintained her faith. She credited constant prayer and divine grace for eventually breaking the decade-long barrenness and blessing her with another child.
Her testimony offers a message of hope to others facing similar challenges, emphasizing perseverance in faith despite prolonged struggles and societal judgment.
