Ghanaian actress Martha Ankomah has addressed misconceptions regarding her legal battle with actor Lilwin.
There were rumors that Kwadwo Nkansah, known as Lilwin, was ordered by the court to pay her GH¢300,000 following their recent legal proceedings over a defamation lawsuit.
In a conversation with Mike 2 on Adom FM, which Zionfelix.net monitored, Martha Ankomah dismissed these reports, clarifying that Lilwin was not instructed to pay any amount. Instead, the court requested that he issue an apology.
This apology will be reviewed during their next court appearance to see if it satisfies the required standards.
Martha emphasized that she isn’t seeking any financial gain from Lilwin. Her main aim is to teach him and others the importance of avoiding defamatory statements in public. She considers it unacceptable for individuals to tarnish others’ reputations in front of a camera.
When questioned about her decision to reject Lilwin’s previous apology, Martha explained that it was inadequate and did not meet the criteria for a proper apology.
She had pursued a GH¢ 5 million defamation lawsuit due to derogatory remarks he made about her.
