MEDIKAL, EL, O’KENNETH LIGHT UP MOMO FEST 2025

Osu came alive at the weekend as MoMo Fest 2025 transformed the forecourt of the Mantse Palace into a pulsating centre of music, culture, and community celebration.

The two-day festival, which coincided with the Homowo season, drew thousands of revellers who enjoyed a blend of entertainment and education. The evenings were the high point, with artistes delivering show-stopping performances that kept the crowd energised.

DJ Lord OTB set the pace with high-tempo mixes, followed by King Jerry, who ignited nostalgia as fans sang along to his classics. The excitement reached new heights when O’Kenneth brought the Asakaa drill sound to the stage, before EL thrilled with his signature fusion of Afrobeats and rap.

The climax came with Medikal’s closing act, which lit up the night with a string of hits and electrifying stagecraft. His performance drew the loudest cheers of the festival, leaving the audience on their feet until the very end.

Speaking on the sidelines, Alfred Hammond, Senior Marketing Manager at Mobile Money Limited, explained that the festival was not only about entertainment but also about strengthening community ties.

“We are here in Osu to celebrate the Homowo festival with the community. As part of MoMo Fest, we created a cashless fair, staged a drama on fraud awareness, and provided entertainment for the people. It has truly been a celebration of music, culture, and community spirit,” he said.
