Seasoned Journalist and television presenter Bridget Otoo has voiced her discontent regarding not obtaining an appointment from the NDC government, despite the significant effort she invested in the party during her campaign.
Otoo went on X (previously Twitter) to express her feelings, posting a brief, two-word message: ‘Monkey worked.’
Social media users quickly interpreted her post, alluding to the saying, ‘monkey dey work, baboon dey chop’, meaning one person works hard for another to enjoy.
The post, appearing shortly after the announcement of Joselyn Dumas’ appointment as Deputy Director for Diaspora Affairs, was believed to be connected to that.
Bridget Otoo consistently proved to be a nuisance to the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration, challenging it on various matters on social media.
She is believed to have significantly contributed to revealing the prior government’s corruption, which resulted in their removal.
