“GOD MUST K!LL MOST OF GHANA’S CURRENT LEADERS FOR GHANA TO BE FREE” – Presidential Candidate, Osofo Kyiri Abosom

In a shocking and controversial appeal, Christian Kwabena Andrews, widely known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, leader of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), has called on Ghanaians to join him in praying for the deaths of elderly leaders currently in power. The current presidential candidate claimed that the only way for Ghana to progress is for these leaders to be removed through divine intervention, specifically, death.

Speaking to the public, Osofo Kyiri Abosom lamented the current state of leadership in the country, using the dredging of the Odaw River as an example of government corruption and inefficiency. “43 million dollars has been wasted on the Odaw River,” he said. “Imagine what 1 million dollars can do, and multiply that by 43 it’s a lot of money. As long as these leaders remain alive, the government won’t progress.”

Kyiri Abosom went further to suggest that God should intervene by causing accidents during political campaigns or heart attacks at night, effectively removing these leaders from power. “This is the only way Ghanaians can be free,” he declared. “We must pray for God to eliminate them.”

The controversial statement follows the announcement by the Sanitation Minister last August that $43 million had been spent on dredging the Odaw River, a sum that Osofo Kyiri Abosom believes is grossly misused. He argues that such wasteful spending is a reflection of the broader mismanagement by the country’s leadership, which he claims will only change with the death of those in power.

“We need to bury most of these leaders so the youth can take control of the government,” Osofo Kyiri Abosom asserted, calling his appeal a “spiritual assignment” for all Ghanaians.

The pastor-turned-politician’s remarks have sparked outrage across the political and religious spectrum, with many criticizing his approach as inciting violence and wishing ill on others. While some supporters of Kyiri Abosom have agreed with his frustrations over government mismanagement, others have condemned his call for prayers for the death of leaders as inappropriate and dangerous.

Whether Osofo Kyiri Abosom’s controversial prayers will gain traction among his followers remains to be seen, but his statement has undoubtedly added to the heated discourse surrounding the country’s leadership and its future direction.
