Ghanaian Afrobeats artiste, Michael Takyi-Frimpong, widely recognized by his stage name Lord Paper, revealed that the track “Jane” from his EP, “Something Something,” draws inspiration from a past relationship with a woman who, he claims, was unfaithful to him.
He claims his girlfriend Jane cheated on him with colleague singer, Mr Drew.
The “Awurama” crooner revealed that he believes his lover Jane chose Mr. Drew, a more well-known and successful artist, over him, which makes him feel like a failure as a musician.
He continued by saying that he only found out in October of last year, but he is still friendly with Mr. Drew, a fellow highlife artist, as Mr. Drew admitted to him that he didn’t know Jane was dating Lord Paper.
“I don’t know what is going on between them now but it inspires me to work harder”, he said.
Lord Paper made this disclosure on the GTV breakfast show while promoting his EP, Something Something consisting of four songs Fighting Spirit, mistake, Kofi Junior, and lastly, Jane.
